Privacy and cookies
What we collect, why, and how you control it.
The honest summary
The portal works without sign-up. We collect the minimum needed to rank news and keep the service running.
Data we collect
- Aggregate counters: reads, reactions and shares per story. They are numbers, not profiles.
- Comments: the nickname and text you submit. We also keep an anonymous fingerprint (hash) of your IP address, only to curb spam and abuse.
- Newsletter: the email you provide and the language of the page where you signed up, used only to send the daily roundup. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Technical logs: server access logs, kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Storage in your browser
We use localStorage to remember your chosen theme (light/dark) and which stories you've reacted to. This data stays on your device and is not sent to anyone.
If you pick a language in the selector at the top, we store the lc_lang cookie with that language's code (for example, en) so the site opens in it on your next visits. It is only created when you choose, doesn't identify you and lasts one year. Without it, the site follows the language set in your browser.
Audience measurement
We use Google Analytics to know how many people visit the portal, which pages are read most and where the traffic comes from. It stores cookies in your browser and sends the data to Google. We don't use it to identify you individually. To opt out, you can install the Google opt-out add-on, use private browsing or block cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising
When advertising is active, partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads. You can manage this at myadcenter.google.com and in your browser settings.
Your rights (LGPD)
You can request confirmation, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of your data by emailing luacatgames9@luacat.shop. Data protection officer (DPO): [TO BE FILLED].
