About LuaCat Games

How we choose, organize and rank the news you read here.

What is LuaCat Games

LuaCat Games is a news curation portal about anime, manga, games, releases, events and geek culture. We monitor 23 specialized outlets and bring together, in one place, what each of them published — always with credit and a link to the original story.

What we publish (and what we don't)

How the relevance index works

Each story gets a score from 0 to 100, recalculated all the time, combining five signals:

  1. Freshness — how much time has passed since publication (20-hour half-life).
  2. Source authority — the editorial weight given to each outlet.
  3. Corroboration — how many independent sources covered the same event.
  4. Engagement — reads, reactions, shares and comments.
  5. Editorial signal — urgency, official confirmation, release date, image.

Repeated news and the BREAKING badge

When several sites publish the same fact, we group everything into a single event. The version with the best index becomes the highlight; the others remain available in the “How the story developed” block. Nothing is deleted — older stories just lose their spot.

The BREAKING badge appears on high-impact events published in the last few hours: official announcements, cancellations, delays, acquisitions and surprise releases.

Automatic updates

Collection runs every day, automatically, and checks each source while respecting the servers' cache headers. The date and time of the last update are always visible at the top of the site. Last collection: 09/11/2026 09:19.

Languages

The portal is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Indonesian and French. The interface and the newsroom's texts are written in each language. Headlines and summaries from the sources appear in the outlet's original language; when we show a machine translation, it is labeled as such on the story itself.

Errors and corrections

Found an error, a broken link or a wrong credit? Write to luacatgames9@luacat.shop. We fix it and log the change on the story itself.
